Résumé : The authors present a retrospective analysis of reports of severe anaphylactic reactions made by Belgian allergists to the French Allergy Vigilance Network from 2011to 2012. In the absence of a national anaphylaxis registry in Belgium, an incomplete analysis of the available data revealed that immediate management of the cases was inadequate with respect to evaluation of the severity of the reaction, the delay in administration of adrenalin, details of the patients' transport to an Emergency Room, and the duration under medical observation in the Emergency Room, whatever the patients' age. Creation of a national anaphylaxis registry would provide a means for regular evaluation and thus could lead to improvement in the quality of the management; it would also form an excellent data bank, which could serve as a tool for epidemiological studies.
