Résumé : In children, virus B hepatitis is much more aggressive than virus A hepatitis. Clinical recovery should not be relied on unless confirmed by biological data. A histological checkup should be performed without hesitation, and rather early (after four months of evolution), especially if the Au antigen persists in the blood. In case of positive antigenemia, one hopes that more sensitive laboratory tests should be made available in order to establish an earlier prognosis.
