Résumé : In the central stump, the incorporation of plasma radiophosphate in acid soluble phosphates of nerve segments is increased within 1 hr after nerve section. The area of increased incorporation extends more centrally than the area of morphological changes. Traumatic degeneration in the central stump is not to be considered as a retrograde Wallerian degeneration.
