Résumé : This review deals in its first part with the hepatic mechanisms of drug detoxification and toxification as well as with the physiopathological mechanisms of drug-induced liver diseases. In the second part, the clinical and biological pictures of drug-induced pathological lesions are reviewed. Any liver abnormality should alert the clinician towards a possible toxic aetiology so that the risk of fulminant, eventually lethal, or of severe chronic liver disease can be avoided.
