Résumé : Radiation therapy plays a major role in the curative management of prostatic cancer. External irradiation or implants give the following 5 year survival rates: 70-80 percent for tumors limited to the prostate and 50-60 percent for tumors with extracapsular extension. Advantages, side and late effects of each technique are discussed.
