Résumé : Between the 1st of January 1950 and December 31st 1970, 100 cases of malpighian epithelioma of the mobile portion of the tongue, classed among the groups T1, T2, and T3 with N0 or N1 and M0 were admitted to the Institut Bordet for treatment and underwent a partial glossectomy followed by curie puncture and blocking. The 27 patients with palpable (N1) cervical adenopathies were submitted to a radical clearance of the neck. Out of the 73 patients without palpable cervical adenopathy (N0), 41 underwent a clearance of the neck on principle. The local recurrences amounted to 15% and the 4 year survivals to 58%. The apparently most favourable results observed among the N0 patients with cervical clearance on principle, are so perhaps because they were from the youngest patients, or from those in whom the clearance was of lymph nodes that were not neoplastic.
