Résumé : Ultrasonic exploration of the female pelvis to confirm or supplement the usual clinical examination enabled a correct diagnosis to be made in 80% of the 370 cases examined and subsequently operated on. The echographic description always included the size of the tumor, its cystic or solid nature and its site of origin. Out of 43 uterine and ovarian tumors measuring less than 3 cm, only 15 were discovered.
