Résumé : The clinical results of nerve surgery are difficult to judge precisely from the literature, for too often it is carried out at a stage or according to varying techniques that have no real biological basis. Nevertheless, from published work and from their own experience, the authors believe that the 90% success figure, varying from satisfactory to good, given by SANII, represents a good overall picture of the situation. These results can only improve as the indications for and the optimum timing of surgery are better appreciated by all those who see nerve lesions in their clinics. There are 34 references.
