Résumé : This paper describes a scheme to improve the overall performance of Phasor Measurement Units (PMU), such that the estimated phasors can be used for a wide range of applications in real-time. The main concern is the accuracy and robustness of the phasor estimation outside steady state, which is strongly influenced by the accuracy of the frequency estimation. The need to complement the phasordata with information about the phasor quality is also emphasized.
