Résumé : Abstract: Hydrogen adsorption isotherms are measured on pure Ni and three CuNi alloys (1, 5 and 30 at.%Cu) bulk catalysts in a very large range of temperature (193-500 K) and of pressure (10 -4 - 10 torr). Analysis of isotherm results allow to determine the hydrogen monolayer and the variation of the adsorption heat and entropy with coverage. It is suggested that hydrogen' adsorption takes place on mixed ensembles of Cu and Ni atoms, more or less rich in Cu, via a spillover mechanism, molecular hydrogen being dissociated on pure Ni ensembles. © 1983 Elsevier Science Publishers B.V.
