Résumé : A generalized Nee-Zwanzig equation is proposed to describe both low and high frequency dielectric relaxation. It is shown that the inertial effect is closely related to the non-markovian character of the differential equation governing the time evolution of the dipole-dipole autocorrelation function. Comparison with experimental results is given. © 1978.
