Résumé : Chloroplastic synthesis of nucleic acids of Acetabularia mediterranea. We have studied the incorporation of 32P in the nucleic acids of Acetabularia mediterranea. Their chromatography on a methylated-albumin column shows that synthesis of at least three nucleic acids takes place in the anucleate fragments as well as in the nucleate ones. (1). A low-molecular-weight RNA is synthesized especially in the non-chloroplastic fraction of the alga. (2). A heterogenous material with respect to its chromatographic behaviour becomes labeled in the chloroplasts; it seems to be formed of both DNA and RNA. (3). A high-molecular-weight RNA, presumably the ribosomal RNA of the alga, is synthesized in the chloroplastic as well as in the non-chloroplastic fraction of the cell. © 1965.
