Résumé : 1. 1) The R a r i t a-S c h w i n g e r potential has been investigated with a variable range for the tensor forces, the fourth parameter being ajusted to the magnetic moment of the deuteron. If the width of the well of the central forces is 2.8 × 10-13 cm, the only solution is that from R a r i t a and S c h w i n g e r, and the inferior limitation for the width of the well of the tensor forces is 2.66 × 10-13 cm. 2. 2) The cross-section for n-p scattering (kinetic energy of the neutron: 50 Mev) has been calculated in the common R a r i t a-S c h w i n g e r theory with neutral and symmetrical isotopic dependences. The results are: Neutral S = ·3458 x 10-24cm2 Λ = ·7867Symmetrical S = ·1442 x 10-24cm2 Λ = 6·07. © 1950.
