Résumé : The influence of self-absorption for Mössbauer f{hook} measurements is considered theoretically and experimentally. Neglecting the ordinary mass attenuation is shown to lead to errors which can be very important for small fractions. Measurements with a stainless steel source are in good agreement with theoretical expressions which take account of ordinary mass attenuation. © 1966.
