Résumé : The hole-particle model is extended to nuclei having one nucleon more than closed shells. A diagonalization is carried out on 17O using ls coupling and a zero-range interaction, independent of spin and isospin variables and similar to that used in 16O. The effect of varying the single-particle energies and eliminating the spurious states corresponding to the centre-of-mass motion is studied. The results are compared with previous calculations and with the predictions of the core-excitation model. The influence of the E3 collective transition in 16O is estimated by computing some E3 transition strengths in 17O. © 1966.
