Résumé : A six-parameter energy density functional is used to calculate self-consistently the binding energies of spherical nuclei. With three other parameters introduced in the BCS approximation for pairing, the method has a better precision than other mass formulae with a similar number of parameters. Experimental charge radii are also well reproduced. Important variations of the magic numbers far from the stability line are found. The question of the neutron skin and the extrapolation of the single-particle potential are also examined. © 1978.
