Résumé : The efficiency of excision repair of UV-damaged E. coli DNA is enhanced when DNA replication is temporarily blocked. This block, in the presence and absence of excision repair, was obtained in a strain of E. coli, thermosensitive for DNA replication and its excision-deficient derivative. It is suggested that the regulation of DNA synthesis plays an important role in excision repair. © 1970.
