Résumé : Digestion of human IgG globulins by proteolytic hydrolysis, in the presence of a reduction factor, yields 2 important fragments, separable by chromatography. A first fragment, which has an anodic behavior in agar gel electrophoresis, is called Fc, and a second one, which has a slow cathodic migration character, is identified as Fab. Fab and Fc fragments were prepared from control immunoglobulins and oligoclonal immunoglobulins of SSPE patients. Their sedimentation coefficients were calculated, and their electrophoretic and immunochemical behavior compared.
