Résumé : The markers of bone remodeling are useful in the control of the diseases of the bone tissue metabolism. Bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (bone ALP) is a constituent of the osteoblast, marker of the bone formation. We compared the serum bone ALP measurements with two immunoassay-methods: Access Ostase™-Beckman/Coulter and the immunoradiometric Tandem®-Ostase Beckman/Coulter method (IRMA). We observed a good correlation between the two methods. The test Access Ostase™-Beckman/Coulter, method sandwich immunoenzymatic is simple, rapid, providing an exploration of the bone turn-over, complementary to the densitometric techniques which measure the bone mass. It also supports a saving of time in the follow-up of the patients. © 2002 Éditions scientifiques et médicales Elsevier SAS. All rights reserved.
