Résumé : In a concentrated saline solution the ribonucleic granules of the cytoplasm separate into fragments of different sedimentation velocities and of different chemical composition according to their size. The smallest fragments are characterized by a large amount of ribonucleic acid, a considerable thromboplastic activity and a small amount of enzymes. A hypothesis trying to account for these facts is put forward. © 1948.
