Résumé : We have experimentally studied two-phase (liquid-gas) flows in a narrow, short, horizontal slit channel of a rectangular cross section with a height of ̃300 μm. It is established that two-phase flow regimes in this channel substantially differ from the classical regimes of flow in extended channels of large cross section. In particular, a jet flow has been observed, which develops due to a decrease in the channel length and height. © 2008 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
