Résumé : A formula, relating the velocity of a charged sphere in a conducting fluid to the electrical potential in the fluid by simple quadratures, is derived. The main theoretical tool is the Burgers-Oscen approximation. Henry's result for the mobility of the sphere is shown to follow from the general expression when the ionic atmosphere is assumed to be spherically symmetric. © 1970.
