Résumé : The dependence of the fission barrier of 240Pu on the parameters of an effective interaction of the Skyrme type is examined in the Hartree-Fock+BCS model. The strong influence of the surface-symmetry properties on the average trend, and of the effective mass on the shell oscillation, are pointed out. Weaker correlations are also noted between the fission barrier and the spin-orbit strength, on the one hand, and the compression modulus, on the other. Indications are given of the acceptable range for the effective mass, and for the surface-symmetry properties characterised by the droplet parameter Q. © 1985 Elsevier Science Publishers B. V.
