Résumé : A case of atypical pigmented villonodular synovitis containing calcifications in the left knee of a young female is presented. The patient underwent total synovectomy and no recurrence was observed over a two-year follow-up period. The purpose of this study is to provide a review of the literature which shows almost invariably the absence of calcifications in the disorder. The authors compare the contribution of the different imaging modalities for the diagnosis of the entity.
