Résumé : Modern plexic analgesia for limb surgery is firstly defined. The characteristics and goals of this kind of technique are enumerated. The procedures used in our institution are reviewed. The new evolution of plexic patient-controlled-analgesia is introduced. Secondly, the recent literature about plexic analgesia and ropivacaine is reviewed. Finally preliminary results comparing ropivacaine and bupivacaine for psoas compartment and epidural analgesia are presented.
