Résumé : Not to many generalist practitioners are aware of their patients whom they have been following for a long time, are in fact subjected to the partner's violence; these patients consult their GP five times more than the rest of the population for different reasons. There exist a number of valid professional attitudes which permit the GP to detect early the victims of intimate violence. There is equally large consensus regarding attitudes accompanying these victims by the family doctor. This article proposes to present these proactive steps which could diminish the serious physical and psychological effects and even the death risk and in general be able to improve the care quality of these patients.
