Résumé : Mortality per age in Belgium rural districts concerns small numbers. Statistical studies show that these data deserve to be examined. A weighted type of analysis in major components gives prominence to the opposition between overmortalities at active and old ages. A classification of the rural districts according to the urbanisation and to the urban hierarchy is used as a scale of analysis. Weighted correlations between mortality comparative indicators for selected age groups and external variations make it possible to examine some hypotheses. -English summary
